About Patrick Horsley: Patrick, a studio potter, is
recognized throughout America with work exhibited in many galleries and
collected by numerous corporations, select museums and private collectors. His
artwork is strongly influenced by architecture, both primitive and contemporary
with most of the work being decorative as opposed to utilitarian. Teapots, a
special interest of Patrick, have evolved into signature pieces, which are
included in many collections throughout the world.
Patrick remarks, "The challenge of my work is to combine the many elements
(handles, feet, spouts and lids) into a work that dances and presents a new view
and image of a familiar form. My primary interest is in the process and the
physical dance of making the pots."
Uniqueness of the Pottery:
All Patrick's pottery is wheel thrown and then manual "adjusted" with no two
pots being the same. While we try to match design and glaze color as
closely as possible to the listing image there will be variation in the fine
pottery you receive. If you are uncomfortable in this arrangement then
please contact the gallery and we can forward images of current inventory.
Our recommendation is to order on line and you won't be disappointed as long as
you realize there will be variation in each work. That's half the fun of
it!
