: All our products and artwork are guaranteed to be completely as described.  We offer for sale originals, fine art prints, reproductions, posters, tapestry blankets, cards and other art related items.  Most if not all our artwork is signed by the artist. Your Satisfaction is our desire! A full purchase price refund (less shipping, handling and insurance (SH/I) ) is provided if you are not satisfied. You, the purchaser is responsible for all return SH/I charges.  You must contact High Desert Gallery to obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) code.  Request for a RMA must be made within seven business days of receipt of product.  Returns without a RMA will be rejected. The utmost care must be taken while handling your purchase - You the buyer is responsible for damage. Please return all product in same shipping containers.

Shipping - For High Desert Gallery it’s not a revenue center!

High Desert Gallery of Central Oregon is home of the Flat Fee $9.50 or less on shipping, handling and insurance fee on all unframed fine art prints and reproductions.  Why do we charge a flat fee verses a variable scale based on cost or weight?  Art work is not an easy product to calculate shipping costs as it doesn’t “conform” to standard shipping calculations such as weight,  dollar amount purchased or even item count.  With that in mind it is much easier for you, the purchaser, and the gallery to charge a flat fee.  Do we make money on our shipping charges?  When you factor in the cost of the shipping tube or flat sleeve plus the cost of shipping and insurance – NO WAY.  A medium shipping tube on average costs about $4.00 and UPS ground shipping charges from the west coast to the east cost about $14.00 depending on value of the artwork and $12.00 to the west coast.  So as you can see  – Our $9.50 shipping cost is less than our actual fee.  Our flat fee shipping charges are only available if you purchase online at the High Desert Gallery’s online sales gallery.

For our framed artwork and canvas that are stretched we charge a flat fee shipping charge based on the individual work that will cover  double boxing, padding, insurance and shipping charges from UPS/FED EX or on rare occasion, USPS.  The flat fee shipping fee is provided at the point of purchase and typically doesn’t cover our actual charges.  For large works we will have a special wood crate made specifically for the work of art you are purchasing.

For our sculpture and fine art glass we also charge a fee based on the individual work as the bronze, wood and glass dimensions and the requirement for crating or double boxing varies depending on the type of art and form.

When will my work be shipped?

Once an order is placed, we expedite the artwork preparation, packing, boxing/crating and shipping.  The actual ship time varies with the type of work but typically we “get things out the door” in 2-3 business days.  Special orders or complex shipping may take 5-7 business days.  When you make your purchase your credit card is authorized but not charged and we charge your card within 24 hours of the shipment of your purchase.   The only exception to this rule is if you pay by PayPal and your card will be charged at the point of sale.

Will you notify us of the shipping tracking number?

Yes, you will receive an email from either or both the shipping company and High Desert Gallery with the expected delivery date, tracking number and other requirements such as signature requirements. 

Please note we require signature capture for all deliveries.  You will be required to sign for the package as we don’t allow the shipping company to “drop off” your package on the front porch.  If the shipping company misses you the first time they will leave a note and advise you of your options, including picking up your package at the local distribution center.
